In this course, we will introduce the key concepts of the computer forensics, digital investigations, and electronic discovery processes.  We will also cover some of the latest trends in these areas including, ever growing data volumes, new data sources, impact of the remote work environment, social media, messaging, and collaboration platforms, and "The Cloud". Participants will come away with a general understanding of the high-level computer forensics and electronic discovery processes as well as an up to date view on the current trends, issues, and challenges in the industry.

Robert Villanueva - Current Trends in Cybercrime: The Underground Economy of Eastern European Threat Actors

Learn about Data breaches, malware, phishing, botnets and criminal infrastructure targeting financial institutions in the United States of America which has reached an all-time high. The majority of these cybercrime fraud incidents are victimizing not only merchants, but the actual customers of the financial institution. Highly skilled hackers and professional malware writers from mostly Eastern Europe are the main perpetrators of these transnational electronic crimes.
