CPE Credit Hours: 8 CPE

John J. Hall, CPA

Program Description

All business entities have fraud risks. Often fraud exposures when contracting with third party vendors and procurement cards (p-cards) top the list. Among the many fraud risks that must be proactively managed is the possibility that third-party suppliers and contractors will take unfair advantage of the relationship, entice employees into questionable practices, and commit wrongful acts or outright fraud. This program addresses the fraud risks inherent in procurement and contracting and will present solutions for managers and auditors interested in guarding their organizations against the costs and other negative consequences of misconduct and fraud.

Using proven practices from hundreds of fraud experts, you’ll learn:

  • How to conduct an effective and efficient fraud risk assessment (both entity and audit project view).
  • The why, what and how of fraud risks in contract monitoring and management.
  • What can go wrong in P-Cards – and what to do about it.
  • Why Procurement & Contracting relationships are always at High-Risk for wrongdoing & fraud.
  • Special challenges in construction and facilities contracts.
  • Three-Step Fraud Detection for every project.
